- The traditional carbon filters are special plastic containers that contain grains of activated carbon that can trap and bind grease and odors. These filters should be replaced regularly every 12 months. While using recirculation, windows and doors, and any air system with access to fresh air should be closed. - Note: If you do not have the opportunity to blow the air out of the kitchen, then you can use a recirculation fan. Note! The filters do not remove steam. This is removed by extra ventilation or e.g. via the central ventilation system of the house. While using recirculation, windows, doors, and any air system with access to fresh air should be closed.
