Hobs from EICO
- Turn up the heat
A hob is one of the kitchen's most important work areas. Here you can take your passion for cooking to new heights. And today, of course, a hob must be able to do much more than simply boil and fry. It should elevate the entire cooking process, so that time in the kitchen becomes more fun and easier. Among other things, it is about smart operating options, precise regulation and fast and efficient heating.
At EICO, we have carefully selected the market's best and most innovative hobs, so that you are guaranteed the most beautiful design and the highest quality - because luckily these two elements go hand in hand. You also get a multitude of options in relation to the size of the hob and how many zones you need. Among other things, you can choose an 80 cm hob. and a 90 cm hob.
Efficient induction hobs
One of the very popular hob types is the induction hob. An induction hob works in such a way that there is an electric coil under the cooking zone, which forms a magnetic field, which heats the pan. This means that it is only the pot that gets hot - and thus not the hob itself.
The advantage of this type of hob is that it reaches the desired temperature very quickly. This means that cooking can take place very efficiently and quickly. Another important feature relates to the fact that this type of hob is very energy-saving - it uses approx. 90 percent of the supplied energy. At the same time, it is extremely practical that the hotplate quickly becomes cold again when you remove the pot or frying pan - thus minimizing the risk of burning yourself considerably.
If you use induction hobs, however, you cannot use pots made of stainless steel or aluminium. Only cookware that can be magnetized works in relation to this type.
Ceramic hob
A ceramic hob looks similar to an induction hob on the surface. But beneath the surface they are completely different. The cooking zones on a ceramic hob are under a tempered glass plate, which can withstand very high heat. And unlike an induction hob, it is not the pan's magnetism that creates heat – the heat comes directly from the cooking zones under the hob, which emit radiant heat. This also means that you do not need to use special cookware - all types can be used.
At EICO, we dare to the very highest degree to "put your hand on the hob" with you - regardless of which model you choose!
